Sarah Anderson

On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, there was a car accident on I-85 north. A SUV hydroplaned and flipped ejecting the driver. After being flipped, the SUV was then struck by the tractor trailer of an 18-wheeler. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was taken to the hospital. The driver of that SUV was a close childhood friend of mine named Sarah Anderson. The news of this tragedy has broken my heart.

Sarah was going to Auburn University. She played the piccolo in the band. She graduated from Robertsdale High School in 2008. She was also in the band there, and was drum major her senior year. Sarah was one of the most amazing people I knew. Her smile was contagious. She loved everyone. Her number one love was God. She went to church at Loxley First Baptist. I went there with her when I lived in Loxley when I was younger. I remember thinking how I wanted to be like Sarah when I was younger. Everyone loved her. She had the best personality. She never met a stranger. If anyone needed anything she would be there.

I am going to miss her so very much. Her death has really shaken me up. I know that tomorrow is not promised. We all have to live everyday like it is our last. Life can be taken away in the blink of an eye. We should all let our loved ones know how much we love and appreciate them. Give them hugs because we never know when one hug could be the last or when one "I love you" could be the last time you can say it to that person.
