I went home

Well I went home for Thanksgiving break. Actually I had to go home a day early because the doctor told me that I needed to.

First off, let me talk about the drive. Oh my goodness! An hour and a half drive to my house. It might not sound like much, but when oone person has to make the drive it tends to get a bit long and boring. Nothing wrong with the traffic or anything. Just that long of a drive all by myself did not see too appealing. Anyway, so I made the drive. After awhile I hit an area where none of the radio stations came in clearly. Sadly, big blue the Explorer does not have a cd player; therefore, the radio is my only option when it come to listening to music. Listening to static for fifteen minutes is not something I would call fun. Finally, the radio came back and I was a little bit happier. I never thought the drive was going to end. A ninety minute drive seemed to drag on for years and years. I finally saw my exit, and man I was thankful. I knew after I turned off on exit 93 it only took fifteen more minutes until I would be home. The last fifteen minutes of the drive seemed to pass quickly, to my surprise. Finally, I pulled into my driveway.

I do not think I had ever been so thankful to be at home as I was at that moment. I was feeling so terrible, and driving did not make me feel any better. My mom greeted me at the door, and she helped me bring in all of my things. She put me in my old room. Of course she made me lay down, and not be able to do anything. Honestly, I did not mind one bit. The thought of just resting sounded magnificent. My mom came into my room, and we chatted for a bit. Then she had to cook supper. Of course I was not hungry, but she insisted on fixing me some soup. Reluctantly, I ate some of it. I had to rest in bed for a couple of days, but then I began to go stir crazy.

A few days of resting up, my mom finally let me go to the store with her. Who would have ever thought that I would have been so excited to see Wal*Mart. I sure was!

To make a really long story short, I had a great visit at home. I loved seeing my parents and my little brother. After awhile though, I knew it was time for me to go back to Montgomery.
