Bravery is not confined to one style. Anyone can be brave. From children learning to conquer their fear of the dark to adults being brave during a scary situation. The men and women of the military are looked at as brave. Bravery and courage go hand in hand. To be brave one must have courage. People can be brave for themselves or others. People can be brave if they stand up for what they believe in and not let others pressure them. Someone can be brave for another person by standing up for that person. If someone was getting bullied and another person walked by, that other person could be brave enough to stand up for the person being bullied. Being brave can influence others to be brave. Some people may believe that only heroes are brave. That is not the case. Simple ordinary people are brought to challenges everyday that test their courage, strength, and bravery.
I remember when I was a child I thought my mother was the bravest person on the planet. She could stand up to the monsters under my bed and she could tackle any situation that came her way. I remember always wanting to be like that but never thinking I could. Then one day I was being picked on and I gathered my strength and stood up for my self. I went home and told my mom. She told me she was very proud of me for being so brave. From that point on, I knew I did not have to be an adult to be brave. I could just be me.
Bravery has no set image. Bravery is not picky with what person has it. Deep down in the lives of all people lies bravery. It is just a matter of finding it and using it in any frightening situation.
